Some customers of Golden 1 Credit Union are encountering difficulties with the digital banking system due to recent modifications. While reports suggest that banking systems are down, an email from the bank last week informed customers of three steps they needed to follow for a smooth transition to the new digital banking setup. They had until Friday to verify their login details, confirm their contact information, and validate joint account holders. The email emphasized the importance of knowing these credentials since features like Face ID and Touch ID won’t function during the initial login on the new system.
In a statement to KCRA 3, Golden 1 acknowledged that they had notified customers about the upcoming changes in the weeks prior to the transition. They mentioned that the new mobile and online banking platforms are now operational, and many members are successfully adapting to the new system. However, they noted that some members had temporary access issues, and the bank is actively assisting these customers.
Additionally, as part of the update, services such as Zelle, Bill Pay, and external transfers were briefly unavailable, but users will regain access to them shortly. To help with this transition, Golden 1 has announced extended business hours at all branches for the weekend.
