President Melania Trump Invites Young Advocates to State of the Union
During Tuesday’s State of the Union address, First Lady Melania Trump is set to host two young women in the guest box, symbolizing the causes she champions.
Joining her will be 24-year-old Sierra Burns, a participant in President Trump’s Youth Development Assistance Program, and 10-year-old Everest Neblaumont from Austin, Texas. Everest attends Alpha School, known for its hybrid learning approach that incorporates artificial intelligence.
These topics are significant parts of President Trump’s agenda. Melania has taken a leading role in the President’s AI Challenge and is a dedicated advocate for foster children, a cause particularly dear to her.
As one source mentioned, “Developing the Future has really established her as a leader in promoting education and technology for children.”
Both young women boast impressive accomplishments.
Sierra, having grown up in the foster care system, is now a public advocate for reform. Meanwhile, Everest is not just a student; she’s also a skilled speaker and has given a Ted Talk at the age of 10, showcasing her passion for learning.
On Tuesday, Melania will be joined by her family to watch President Trump present his plans for the upcoming year. Attendees will include her adult children and their partners, such as Don Jr. with fiancée Bettina Anderson, Eric and Lara Trump, and Ivanka Trump with Jared Kushner, as well as Tiffany and her husband, Michael Boulos.
Before returning to the White House, Melania was already focused on her Be Best campaign, which emphasizes support for children.
In her documentary titled “Melania,” she recorded a Zoom call with France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, discussing the vital role of education in children’s lives.
These conversations are set to progress in March when President Trump will host a two-day summit at the State Department and the White House. This event officially launches “Fostering the Future Together,” aimed at empowering children, especially through technology and AI. Invitations will extend globally, encouraging participants to join in Washington, D.C. on March 24 and 25, as noted by a close source.
President Trump introduced this global initiative at the United Nations General Assembly last September.
“We need to remember that our next generation will utilize technology to change how we live, travel, design, and connect,” she stated.
During her tenure as First Lady, Melania notably secured $30 million in scholarships for foster children through an appropriation from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Additionally, in November, President Trump signed an executive order for “Developing the Future,” which collaborates with various sectors to enhance educational and career prospects for youth.
Melania’s team has established a broad network of universities, including prominent institutions like Vanderbilt University and the University of Florida, to further support her initiatives.
Students involved in these programs receive comprehensive scholarships focused on education with integrated technology components.
