Women in bikinis seen with Stephen Hawking in Epstein documents were his caregivers, according to family.

A recently uncovered photo in Jeffrey Epstein’s records shows Stephen Hawking with two women in bathing suits, which his family asserts includes his long-time nurse.

The renowned theoretical physicist gained attention when this striking image of him surrounded by the unidentified women circulated after the Ministry of Justice released new Epstein documents.

In the photo, taken in 2006 on the Caribbean island of St. Thomas—close to Epstein’s notorious private island—Hawking is seen smiling with a red cocktail while reclining on a sunbed.

Hawking’s family stated that the women accompanying him were regular caregivers hired to provide continuous support as he dealt with ALS.

“Dr. Hawking made significant contributions to physics during the 20th century and is well-known as a survivor of motor neuron disease, which required him to rely on ventilators, speech devices, wheelchairs, and constant medical attention,” his family mentioned in a statement.

They added, “Any implication of inappropriate behavior on his part is incorrect, extreme, and outrageous.”

Hawking, who passed away in 2018 at 76 after living with ALS for five decades, had previously been linked to Epstein.

He participated in a conference funded by Epstein in March 2006, just months after Epstein faced charges in Florida for facilitating prostitution.

This latest batch of Epstein documents includes the photo among other images of the famed scientist.

Hawking appears frequently in Justice Department files—over 250 times—and was scrutinized after Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser, claimed he was involved in an “orgy of minors” in the Virgin Islands.

Emails revealed in the files also show that Epstein offered financial incentives to his acquaintances who could help debunk Giuffre’s allegations.

In a message to his then-wife, Ghislaine Maxwell, dated January 12, 2015, he wrote, “You can issue a reward to any of your friends, acquaintances, or family members in Virginia… Please come forward and help us prove her claims are false.”

Despite the swirling rumors, Hawking was never formally accused of any misconduct during his interactions with Epstein.

He had passed away before Epstein’s 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges.
