Queens School Assistant Principal Accused of Pimping
Parents at an elementary school in Queens are reeling after discovering that the assistant principal is being investigated for allegedly being involved in high-level prostitution.
Bond Ng, 47, who works as a safety administrator at Corona PS 16, is accused of facilitating a $2,000-per-hour engagement with a woman from Los Angeles as recently as late December, according to federal prosecutors. The news has left many parents infuriated.
“This poses a serious threat to children,” remarked Rosably, a mother with an 8-year-old son at the school. “It makes me really angry. He should never be around kids again.”
Another parent expressed their disbelief, stating, “We can’t trust people anymore.”
Ng, who reportedly earns $173,000 annually, has been charged with interstate racketeering linked to prostitution. Allegations suggest he has been conducting secret meetings in upscale buildings in Long Island City since at least 2011, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
He was questioned at JFK Airport upon arriving from Colombia, where he allegedly claimed to be the “manager” of the women involved.
Text messages have surfaced, indicating that Ng was involved in prostitution activities at a luxury high-rise in late December, according to a criminal complaint.
For parents at PS 16, the news of his dual life has been nothing short of shocking.
“Are you serious?” asked one father, who chose to remain anonymous. “Wow. I hear crazy stories in New York all the time, but this is unreal.”
Other parents felt blindsided, noting that Ng had always seemed like a friendly and dedicated educator.
“This is heartbreaking,” said his mother, Ana Garcia. “I would never have expected this from him. I can’t wrap my mind around it. There are sides to him I guess I never knew.”
Luz Wallace, whose 11-year-old son goes to the school and who has an older son that graduated from there, was also shaken by the news. “We often don’t know what lives some people are leading,” she said. “He seemed really nice from our perspective. But who knows what his home life is like?
Ng has been released on $150,000 bail and is required to wear a GPS monitor, with his sister providing the funds.
A woman who answered his door told reporters he was not available and declined to comment further.
City school officials have directed inquiries to federal prosecutors but have yet to respond to additional requests for comments. A letter to parents indicated that Ng had been “reassigned” and barred from the premises during the ongoing investigation.
