The individual suspected of shooting a Border Patrol agent near the U.S.-Canada border on Sunday previously held a male driver’s license but later switched to one identified as female, according to U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan.
Creegan stated, “This person had a former Massachusetts driver’s license that indicated male, and now possesses a New Hampshire driver’s license that lists female, so it’s plausible to infer that the individual is undergoing a transition.”
The incident unfolded when Border Patrol agents stopped 26-year-old Blue Zeke Daley, who was queried about using an alternate name. Investigators subsequently discovered that Daley was also known as Karen Zeke Daley. When confronted, the suspect fled. The Border Patrol agents pursued Daley “to the Pittsburgh Port of Entry along the U.S.-Canada border,” although the gates hadn’t yet opened, as it was shortly after midnight on Sunday.
After Daley stopped his vehicle, an agent activated his lights and exited his car. At that moment, Daley allegedly fired at him. The Border Patrol agents returned fire, resulting in injuries to Daley.
NH Journal noted that Daley is a “registered Democrat” and identifies as a Manchester resident using a female name.
On February 24, 2026, Breitbart News discussed a study from the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) indicating that transgender individuals are responsible for a disproportionate number of mass active shootings.
The CPRC analysis specifically projected that by 2024, incidents involving transgender shooters will occur “at least 12 times more often than their population share.”
