George Conway Calls U.S. a “Terrorist State” Following Military Action Against Iran

George Conway, a former conservative lawyer known for his criticism of Donald Trump, made waves on Saturday by declaring that the U.S. is acting as a “terrorist state.” His comments came shortly after a joint military strike by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, known as “Operation Epic Fury.” This operation followed warnings from Trump about possible U.S. intervention if Iran spurned a nuclear deal amid ongoing anti-regime protests.

On social media, Conway expressed his discontent, writing, “Perhaps the nuclear-armed terrorist state…{checks notes}…the United States?” This wasn’t the first time he shared similar sentiments, suggesting that U.S. actions in Iran warrant such strong criticism.

He noted his hope that the conflict in Iran might somehow lead to essential democratic reforms in the United States. In another post, he pointedly remarked about a “shadowy megalomaniac narcissistic psychopath” overseeing a large stockpile of nuclear warheads, presumably referring to Trump’s leadership.

Critics Weigh In on U.S. Actions

Conway isn’t alone in his condemnation. Author Jason Hickel labeled the U.S. and Israel as the “single greatest threat to humanity,” criticizing them for bombing Iran amid diplomatic negotiations and calling attention to their actions against Palestinians.

In a related appearance on MS NOW, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) urged her colleagues to prioritize their commitments to the Constitution over their support for Trump. She raised concerns about the legality of the airstrike, emphasizing that Congress holds the power to declare war.

Crockett’s comments came shortly after host Ali Velshi noted the general agreement on the Iranian regime’s negative reputation but questioned the lack of consultation with Congress prior to the military action.

As these debates unfold, Fox News Digital has reached out to the White House for further comments on the situation.
