Fresh photos found from cameras at Nancy Guthrie’s residence

FBI agents examine the safety of holster setup in the Nancy Guthrie case

Investigators looking into the alleged kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie have found more images from her home’s security footage, but law enforcement officials indicate there’s nothing new to report since the night of the incident. This means, unfortunately, no significant progress in the investigation.

Nancy Guthrie, who is 84 years old and the mother of NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since the early hours of February 1st.

The newly recovered images were taken from three different cameras positioned at her front porch, driveway, and backyard, according to a law enforcement source involved in the investigation. However, no fresh video footage has emerged.

A spokesperson from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office opted not to provide any comments about the developments.

These images, initially reported by ABC News but not yet made public, were shared with reporters by someone close to the case.

This news follows a statement from Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who conveyed to NBC that the suspect “absolutely” poses a risk to the public and might strike again.

In a candid interview, he expressed concerns about the potential targeted nature of the attack, though he admitted, “We’re not 100% sure.” He cautioned against dismissing the threat, emphasizing that it’s difficult to guarantee safety for everyone.

At the time of her disappearance, Guthrie was home alone in Catalina Foothills, an affluent area near Tucson, Arizona. Notably, her doorbell camera is missing, but the FBI has taken other home security footage as evidence.

The investigation has revealed disturbing details, such as a masked individual holding a gun seen outside her front door, although their identity remains unknown. DNA evidence collected has not produced clear results thus far.

Separate from this, Sheriff Nanos confirmed that investigators are examining some irregularities tied to a power outage or internet failure. He mentioned that a utility box near Guthrie’s house appeared to be tampered with on the morning she was taken.

As it stands, there’s a combined reward exceeding $1.2 million for any information that could resolve this case. The family encourages anyone with relevant details to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI.
