Deported Man Supports Trump’s Immigration Policies
A man recently deported has expressed his support for President Donald Trump’s immigration policies during an interview with The Telegraph.
Ted, a British national who was deported after living in the U.S. since childhood, spoke about his situation, noting that he feels his deportation was justified. He described how anti-deportation protests, particularly in Minnesota, attempted to disrupt the process of removing individuals who are in the country illegally.
“I was knowingly in the country illegally,” Ted admitted. “I’m not making excuses. America is facing an illegal immigration crisis, and the president has the right—and, frankly, the responsibility—to enforce deportations.”
He expressed frustration with the protests that obstructed law enforcement efforts, emphasizing that they targeted illegal immigrants, especially those with criminal backgrounds. “They should have called in the National Guard,” he added, suggesting that Trump should have taken a stronger stance in those situations.
When discussing his deportation to Britain, Ted noted his surprise at the changing demographics in London. “It felt like the majority was the minority,” he remarked after arriving back.
Ted also reflected on immigration policy more broadly, making a clear distinction between individual immigrants and the policies in place. “Telling immigrants they don’t belong is counterproductive and disrespectful,” he stated, suggesting this attitude contrasts with the policies shaping current demographics.
It’s worth mentioning that Ted has a prior conviction for drunk driving, which may have influenced his deportation.
