Footage reveals Florida teens charged with 'blood ritual' school scheme joking in police car

Two teenagers from Florida, 14-year-old Lois Olivios Lippert and 15-year-old Isabel Aurelia Valdez, are facing serious charges for allegedly plotting a “blood ritual” murder at their school. Recent footage revealed them laughing in the back of a police car after their arrest, which took place on January 22. This occurred following a tip that a student, later identified as Valdez, was planning to kill a classmate at Lake Brantley High School.

In the police cruiser video, Valdez can be heard discussing her mug shot styling plans with Lippert, expressing relief that it didn’t turn out too badly. Their conversation also included light-hearted jokes about being a “lesbian couple in prison.”

During the bail hearing, prosecutors argued that the teens represented a danger to their community. The Assistant State Attorney expressed doubts about any terms of release being sufficient to ensure public safety, leading the court to deny bail.

According to court documents, the conspiracy was rooted in disturbing motives. Valdez reportedly said she wanted to replicate the actions of Adam Lanza, aiming to kill the victim and somehow rise from the dead afterward. Investigators revealed that Valdez even sent a message on Discord, indicating her intention to perform this ritual and requesting Lippert bring latex gloves.

The plan involved ambushing the victim in a school restroom, with the intent to stab her or cut her throat, and then leave flowers at the scene. It’s suggested they had discussed sharpening knives in the bathroom prior to the attack.

Authorities discovered the plot only because a fellow student reported their conversation, enabling the police to step in before harm could occur. Both Lippert and Valdez were charged as adults in February, with the state attorney’s office emphasizing their commitment to addressing school violence seriously.

Interestingly, documents mentioning Valdez’s fascination with previous school shootings, such as those at Sandy Hook and Columbine, have been brought forward and will be considered during the trial. As of now, a trial date hasn’t been set, but both teens are expected to face the charges together.
