On his podcast “Hangout with Sean Hannity,” Sean Hannity offered a heartfelt apology to Senator John Fetterman, acknowledging that he had “done it all wrong” during their first meeting at Mar-a-Lago. Hannity confessed that his initial perceptions of Fetterman were flawed.
He shared a moment from their encounter, emphasizing that he approached Fetterman, greeted him, and added jokingly, “You should hate me; I’m a terrible person.” This, he noted, came from a place of realizing he had misjudged the senator.
Reacting to Hannity’s words, Fetterman addressed the tensions in today’s political climate, stating, “That’s the truth today.” He expressed the importance of engaging in dialogues, highlighting that he holds no grudges and finds value in conversation.
The two discussed various topics, including partisanship, Fetterman’s 2022 Senate campaign against Dr. Mehmet Oz, and the idea of prioritizing the nation over party lines.
Fetterman made it clear that he would always opt for decisions he believes to be right for the country, irrespective of party pressures.
Hannity reflected on his previous criticisms of Fetterman during the election and admitted he had a misunderstanding of who Fetterman was. However, Fetterman reassured him that he didn’t take the criticism to heart.
As the conversation wrapped up, Hannity acknowledged, “I got to know you, and we talked that day. You were really cool…”
