Republicans mostly support Trump rather than Tucker Carlson or Megyn Kelly regarding the Iran war, according to a poll.

A recent poll, shared exclusively on Thursday, suggests that concerns about divisions within the Republican Party regarding President Trump’s military actions against Iran may be overstated.

The JL Partners survey indicated that a significant 83% of likely Republican voters either “strongly” or “somewhat” support the military operation designated as Operation Epic Fury. In contrast, only 9% expressed opposition to military actions against Iran.

Additionally, nearly three-quarters (74%) of those surveyed believe the U.S. should persist with military efforts until Iran’s military capabilities are thoroughly dismantled. Meanwhile, 16% think President Trump should call for an immediate end to the conflict.

In terms of trust, 83% of likely Republican voters have confidence in Trump’s judgment regarding these matters, whereas only 6% place their trust in eminent podcasters Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, who have openly criticized the president’s stance on the war.

Furthermore, 84% of respondents align with Trump’s foreign policy perspectives, compared to just 6% who resonate with Carlson and Kelly. Similarly, an overwhelming 85% take Trump’s views on global affairs more seriously than those of media commentators and podcasters, again noted at 6%.

Trump has largely refrained from directly addressing criticisms from Carlson and Kelly, opting instead to commend Mark Levin, a passionate advocate for military action in Iran. Levin recently engaged in a confrontation with Kelly, and Trump expressed his admiration for him.

“Mark Levin, a truly great American patriot, is facing criticism from those much less intelligent and capable,” Trump stated in a post on Truth Social on March 15th.

He added, “He embodies true conservatism and possesses wisdom that starkly contrasts with his detractors. Those attacking him are motivated by jealousy, and their dissatisfaction is less significant than the public perceives.” Trump emphasized that those who criticize Levin would soon lose influence, as such views do not align with the MAGA movement. He reiterated the importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities.

In related polling, 78% of Republican voters mentioned they would likely support a congressional candidate endorsing Trump’s military actions against Iran in the upcoming midterm elections, while a mere 10% would favor a candidate opposing the war.

Moreover, 55% of respondents indicated they would be less inclined to support a Republican candidate associated with the Carlson-Kelly perspective, compared to just 19% who would feel more inclined to back such a candidate.

This JL Partners poll included responses from 1,018 individuals identified as Republican supporters, conducted between March 17 and 18, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
