Dean Cain, an actor widely recognized for his role as Superman in the TV series Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, recently discussed his app, Proud American Studios. He expressed his firm belief in “truth, justice, and the American way.”

During an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday with Matthew Boyle, Cain talked about a podcast episode where he interviewed Tom Homan, the Border Czar. He referred to Homan as an “absolute patriot” who has served across various administrations.

“Generally speaking, I think actors should probably steer clear of political discussions. It’s an obvious idea since many may not really understand politics,” Cain mentioned. However, he pointed out that he has considerable experience, having traveled to 56 countries, lived in Spain, and engaged with political matters in Washington, D.C., including work at Fox News with Secretary of the Army Pete Hegseth.

“I have strong opinions, which doesn’t always win popularity in Hollywood. That’s just how it goes. But I want to discuss these topics because I actually know a bit about politics and current events. After becoming a parent, my perspective shifted. I realized that while you might not care about politics, politics is definitely concerned with you,” he said.

“I felt compelled to share my viewpoint and connect with others in the industry who feel similarly,” he added.

“I know I’ll face backlash—people will label me as a conservative or say I align with Trump, or think I support America, which seems to be viewed negatively. But I don’t see it that way. Despite what critics say online or in articles, on set, I often receive thanks from people who appreciate my stance and my willingness to speak out, even when Hollywood tries to silence you repeatedly. That’s why I founded Proud American Studios. I’m proud to be American, and I genuinely believe in truth, justice, and the American way,” Cain continued.

When discussing his podcast guest, Homan, Cain expressed gratitude for having him as the inaugural guest, describing Homan as a “great guy.”

“People often don’t grasp what it means to criticize Tom Homan during congressional hearings or in the press. He’s an absolute patriot who has devoted 40 years to the Border Patrol across various administrations. He was recognized and praised by President Obama for the same efforts he’s undertaking today,” Cain explained.

“He’s been doing remarkable work for decades,” Cain concluded.
