It’s hard to believe it’s been two decades since “Hannah Montana” first graced our screens. The show debuted on Disney Channel, introducing the world to Miley Cyrus as a dual personality pop star and an ordinary girl.

To mark this milestone, Cyrus is putting on her iconic blonde wig once again, celebrating the show’s legacy with a special 20th Anniversary edition streaming on Disney+.

This beloved series ran for four seasons from 2006 to 2011, along with a feature film in 2009. It followed the life of Miley Stewart, a regular teen living a double life as the glitzy singer, Hannah Montana.

In the new special, Cyrus revisits her character’s memorable wardrobe and iconic settings. She’ll engage in a candid discussion with Alex Cooper, the host of “Call Her Daddy,” who has been a long-time fan. The program will feature never-before-seen footage and recreations of famous scenes that shaped her “Hannah Montana” days.

“’Hannah Montana’ is forever part of who I am,” Cyrus shared in a recent announcement. “What began as a television series grew into a shared journey that influenced many, including my fans. I’m thankful for that connection.”

Interestingly, Miley mentioned that Selena Gomez, another Disney Channel star, will make a cameo. Gomez previously starred in “Wizards of Waverly Place” and even had guest appearances as the character Mikayla on “Hannah Montana.”
