Man charged with filming woman in the shower — police reportedly discover even more troubling video on his phone

On Monday, police in Covington, Tennessee, responded to a harassment report in the 1400 block of South College Street.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a 26-year-old man who mentioned he had just showered and realized he was being filmed.

Officials stated that the victim identified the suspect as Deondre Dyson, 22, who lived at the same location and was reportedly near the victim’s window during the incident.

Officers discovered Dyson at the residence and brought him in for questioning at the Criminal Investigation Division.

After Dyson allowed a search of his phone, detectives found disturbing videos that allegedly showed him engaging in sexual acts with a 3-year-old child.

These recordings were reportedly made in a home located in Lauderdale County, prompting detectives to contact the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office to initiate a child sexual abuse investigation.

According to officials, Dyson admitted involvement in the videos featuring both victims.

He was arrested and taken to Tipton County Jail, where he faces charges of unlawful photography and sexual exploitation of a child. The case is ongoing, with additional charges expected as forensic analysis of the electronic evidence progresses.

Covington Police Chief Donna Turner expressed concern, stating, “This is a troubling investigation on many levels. We are collaborating with DCS to identify all victims and ensure they receive the necessary protection and medical services.” She added, “This case began as an adult matter, but investigators uncovered a suspected monster.”
