Glenn Beck: Trump's anti-corruption team hints at plans for the 2028 succession

Trump Forms Task Force on Corruption

President Trump has set up a task force aimed at tackling corruption, with J.D. Vance at the helm. This initiative is spearheaded by the co-founder of Blaze Media, Glenn Beck, who suggests that it might provide insights into who Trump favors as his successor in the 2028 election.

“I’d like you to consider everything from the perspective of 2028,” Glenn started, encouraging a strategic viewpoint.

“Where does Marco Rubio stand now? He’s got a lot on his plate—more than most people I know. Right now, he’s exactly where you’d expect him: deeply involved in foreign policy, closely working with Trump during such unstable geopolitical times,” he elaborated.

Glenn characterized the present circumstances concerning Iran and Israel as “the highest stakes a president has ever faced.”

“It’s a high-profile, high-risk situation, where the allies and adversaries are clearly defined. If it succeeds, it could stabilize the region. Oil prices would likely decrease, paving the way for a peace dividend by 2026 or 2027. Rubio would emerge as a prominent politician, the one who contributed to global stability,” he explained.

However, if the conflict persists and costs escalate, Rubio’s standing could drastically change, becoming “an absolute rock,” Glenn suggested.

“What about J.D. Vance in this context?” Glenn queried.

“I’ve heard whispers, but he doesn’t seem particularly involved with the president on this matter. Yet, I haven’t seen any indication from Trump suggesting that Vance is lacking,” he noted, while acknowledging Vance’s strong commitment to eradicating fraud and corruption.

“One potential successor carries global implications beyond his control, while the other possesses a domestic mandate that can be carefully navigated case-by-case, building a narrative that could shape the next campaign,” Glenn asserted.

“I think J.D. Vance will likely face off against Gavin Newsom, as he aims to expose corruption in California. Come 2028, it’ll be intriguing to see what the Republican narrative looks like. It won’t just be about growth or foreign threats; it’s clear: the government has been misused. We are looking at perhaps the greatest theft in American history,” he elaborated.

“And we put a stop to that. This argument could resonate strongly against governors like Gavin Newsom and other Democrats, especially since they’re prone to expand programs, increase spending, and promise additional systems, making it easier to counter their propositions,” he added.

“Here’s hoping we have two remarkable candidates who can actually demonstrate their capabilities. We’ll have a record of their actions,” he remarked. “This is how you cultivate a successor without directly appointing them.”
