Celebration at the Museum of the Bible
On July 3 and 4, 2026, the Museum of the Bible is set to welcome visitors from around the world for a significant celebration marking a long-standing faith in America. This event is part of the American Spiritual Heritage Project, which aims to document, preserve, and promote the influence of Christianity in the founding and evolution of the United States.
In a bold move, South Carolina officially declared on March 11, 2026, that it would join other states in a “rededication to the Lord.” This voluntary act became formalized by March 27 of the same year.
The resolution, known as South Carolina House Concurrent Resolution 5302, has garnered support from both House and Senate members. It has been championed by Evangelist Jacob Ebersole and the organization Charleston Crusade 2026, with Republican state Representative Mark Smith representing it. The goal of this initiative is to authorize the “Charleston Crusade 2026” event scheduled for May 1-3, 2026, to honor the state’s rich Christian heritage while encouraging citizens to renew their commitment to God through prayer, reflection, and moral revitalization.
According to Smith, this event will unite churches and volunteers from over 25 cities nationwide, serving as an important reminder of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
Reflecting on past successes, Ebersole recalls hosting several impactful Crusades in South Carolina last year. He expresses hope that America will return to its foundational beliefs: “My wildest dream came true in Spartanburg, where many thought it was impossible. When did the impossible become a barrier for the Lord? People from all across South Carolina, along with visitors from across the nation, came together in faith.”
As the state gears up for the upcoming event, there are high expectations due to Ebersole’s previous initiatives. Smith shared, “During those gatherings, we witnessed a genuine spirit of repentance, with individuals openly sharing their struggles without prompting. Even recently released inmates found solace in baptism.” With options ranging from livestreams to in-person experiences, it’s clear that ministry efforts will continue to positively impact lives.
