Attempted Break-In at Larsa Pippen’s Florida Home
A group of three individuals reportedly attempted to break into Larsa Pippen’s luxury home in Pinecrest, Florida, on Sunday.
The suspects, hailing from Georgia, aimed for the “Real Housewives of Miami” star’s mansion and broke several windows; however, they never made it inside due to the home’s alarm system alerting the authorities.
Pinecrest police quickly responded to the scene and identified Trayson Rashe Booker, 23, as one of the suspects. Together with Cortez Damon Johnson, also 23, and 18-year-old Elijah Eugene Russell, they were apprehended shortly after the incident.
Larsa Pippen, 51, who is the ex-wife of NBA great Scottie Pippen, was not at home during the attempted break-in but monitored the unfolding situation through surveillance footage.
Upon the police’s arrival, the suspects attempted to escape in a vehicle. According to Pinecrest Police Chief Jason Cohen, they didn’t get far and ended up crashing into another car and a fence.
After the collision, the trio scattered. Cohen recounted that he managed to track down Russell, who was making an effort to remain composed as he walked away from the accident. “It was just me and him. I got out of the car and ordered him to the ground,” Cohen explained.
Russell had an existing warrant in Georgia and ran on foot, ultimately falling into a nearby canal embankment. “If he hadn’t jumped into the canal, he probably would have caught me,” Cohen remarked, noting it was his first chase in 15 years.
The police department is currently investigating whether the suspects specifically targeted Pippen’s home.
All three face attempted robbery charges, with bail set between $7,500 and $8,000.
Pippen acquired her luxurious mansion in the Miami area in late 2024 and previously shared details about her home, describing unique features like a limestone table, an all-glass staircase, and a large silver teddy bear statue by the pool. Her walk-in closet is filled with prestigious designer pieces and even includes a tiara.
“Of course I have a tiara. Every princess needs a tiara. I might be the queen at this point,” Pippen said in a lighthearted remark during a previous interview.
