Teacher reportedly pursued relationship with student's mother to assault her 13-year-old daughter.

A middle school teacher in Florida is facing serious allegations of dating a student’s mother and then, distressingly, raping her 13-year-old daughter, according to authorities.

This situation bears a shocking resemblance to the narrative in Nabokov’s “Lolita.” Danielle Le Lièvre, 41, is accused of grooming the young girl, who had been involved with her mother, over several months before committing the act in his home.

When the affair ended, Le Lièvre reportedly told the mother that his intent was to “get closer to” her daughter, as outlined in a police report.

Le Lièvre, who was employed at Tuskawilla Middle School in Oviedo, Florida, was previously investigated in 2024 for claims of “student abuse, abandonment, or neglect” along with breaches of student relationship policies.

He was taken into custody on Monday and faces multiple charges, including sexual assault.

Allegations state that during the holiday period between 2023 and 2024, while the girl’s mother and children were staying at his home, Le Lièvre engaged in sexual relations with the girl.

The student reportedly told investigators that he followed her to the bathroom on Christmas Eve, where he coerced her into removing her clothes and having sex, then warned her to keep it secret.

The mother and daughter reported the incident to the police in February 2026.

According to the police, Le Lièvre began a romantic relationship with the victim’s mother in October 2023 and was known to stay over at their home frequently during their four-month relationship.

While they were seeing each other, there were instances of Le Lièvre and the girl conversing late at night and reportedly holding hands at a shopping area in Orlando.

Additionally, the teacher allegedly taught the girl Morse code as a means of secret communication and set up a “single-use” email account for them to exchange messages, requesting that she delete any records of their conversations.

At school, he would spend time alone with her after classes, where he was seen holding her hand, hugging her, and engaging in inappropriate behavior. It was claimed that he kept her belongings in his classroom and changed her class schedule to align with his.

Le Lièvre purportedly admitted to the victim’s mother that his intentions were solely about being closer to her daughter after their breakup in January 2024.

Previously, Seminole County Public Schools had looked into Le Lièvre for policy violations regarding “abuse, abandonment, or neglect of students” and improper student relationships.

Le Lièvre, who resigned before being terminated in 2024 and is not eligible for rehire, has two daughters and has a history that includes serving in the Peace Corps and teaching overseas.

Currently, he faces charges of sexual assault and criminal sexual conduct as a figure of authority entangled in a romantic relationship with a student. Reports indicate he is being held without bail.
