Noah Schnapp Introduces New Relationship

A new chapter seems to have opened up for Noah Schnapp.

The “Stranger Things” actor shared a sweet moment on Instagram, revealing her new boyfriend in a post celebrating a month of dating. On Wednesday, Schnapp posted a photo of herself with her arm around her partner, both enjoying a sunset together.

While the identity of her partner remains a mystery, the pair appeared to be quite affectionate. Schnapp, who is 21, captioned the photo, “Our 1st month ❤️.”

This new relationship follows Schnapp’s announcement three years ago when he came out as gay on TikTok. He reflected on that moment by sharing, “After 18 years of cowering in the closet, when I finally told my friends and family that I was gay, all they said was ‘I know,’” above a selfie video.

In that brief TikTok, he was seen lying in bed while a voice in the background remarked, “You know it was never like that. It was never that serious. Frankly, it was never that serious.” Schnapp humorously captioned this post, “I guess I’m more like Will than I thought,” drawing a parallel to his character Will Byers from “Stranger Things.”

When he came out, many fans lauded his courage, with some commenting that they had always suspected it. In the earlier seasons of “Stranger Things,” there are subtle hints about Will’s sexuality. However, it’s in seasons four and five where his journey toward self-acceptance unfolds more explicitly, revealing his feelings for a close friend.

In July 2022, Schnapp discussed in an interview that Will is indeed gay and has feelings for Mike Wheeler, his best friend. He elaborated, stating, “In season four, I think I was the only character portraying that kind of struggle—feeling like a mistake and grappling with belonging.”

He added that Will often felt out of place, while his friends seemed to fit perfectly into their social circles. This relatability is likely why he receives so much affection from fans who connect deeply with Will’s character.
