Conservatives criticize Kamala Harris for her comments on Iran before her speech.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris faced considerable backlash from conservatives on social media after President Donald Trump previewed his address regarding Iran. She expressed her thoughts, stating, “He’s drawn America into a war that people don’t want, he’s put our troops at risk, and the costs are rising every day. All the while, he’s doing nothing to address the needs of the American people.” Before Trump’s speech, Harris mentioned she was “unable to watch” it on video.

She anticipated Trump might try to “declare victory” concerning Iran but added, “the reality is we’re not listening to what he says; we’re watching what he does.”

In response, Republican Rep. Tom Emmer criticized Harris, highlighting that it’s shameful for Trump to claim he’s not addressing American needs. He affirmed, “He’s going to clean up the mess you’ve caused here in the United States and around the world and make America great again. And what’s more, he has the courage to stand up to the Iranian regime, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism!”

Ian Pryor, senior legal counsel at America First, remarked, “Taking time off doesn’t make her any smarter,” reflecting the skepticism surrounding Harris’s statements.

Mark Meadows, former chief of staff to Trump, suggested that Harris’s motives might be politically motivated, stating, “She wants to run for president.”

Later, conservative radio host Larry O’Connor noted, “A bullet was dodged,” hinting at the reaction to Trump’s policies.

Oklahoma’s Republican candidate, Lieutenant Governor T.W. Shannon, expressed his frustration with Trump’s previous policies toward Iran, saying, “‘Screw it. Your plan to deal with Iran was to make them spend a lot of President Obama’s cash on missiles and nuclear weapons.’

David Gokshteyn, CEO of Gokshtein Media, criticized the administration’s handling of immigration issues, saying, “You have allowed 15 million illegal aliens into this country. Please sit down.”

Later that night, President Trump addressed the nation, declaring Iran was “essentially no longer a threat” following 32 days of U.S. military operations. He claimed Iran had been “eviscerated” after weeks of conflict.

Despite this, Trump indicated that the U.S. was preparing for further strikes in the upcoming weeks, even as diplomatic talks continued. He stated, “What I can tell you tonight is that we are on track to very soon achieve all of America’s military goals. We are going to be very hard hit over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to take them back to the Stone Age. In the meantime, discussions continue.”
