Lexi Hull’s Pregame Rituals with the Indiana Fever

Lexi Hull, a key player for the Indiana Fever, rarely steps onto the court without first indulging in a 20-minute nap. It’s just one of her various pregame habits that reflect her “look good, feel good, play good” philosophy.

“Before a game, I make it a point to take a nap. Once I wake up, I go through my skincare, put on makeup, take care of my hair, and choose my outfit for the walk-in,” Hull shared, explaining that this ritual has been part of her routine for four years in the W-League. She expressed that napping is her favorite moment before games.

“I usually nap at home or in a hotel—about five hours before game time. I think everyone has their own style, but many of my teammates also enjoy a pregame nap,” she added.

She finds the entire beauty ritual to be quite effortless. “It feels low-maintenance for me… Some might not enjoy the makeup process, but I absolutely love it,” she noted.

A notable aspect of Hull’s pregame preparation is her dedication to her nails, something she considers almost superstitious. “I prefer to have my nails done before playing. If I spot a chip or a broken nail, I make sure to fix it either the night before or the morning of the game. It just makes me feel more put-together,” she said.

“The idea of looking good, feeling good, and playing good has always resonated with me. Confidence is key in my performance,” she emphasized.

Hull’s commitment to self-care is mirrored in her venture with FORTA Cosmetics, which she founded. She has collaborated with Faves, a unique marketing platform for athletes, allowing them to explore opportunities beyond standard sponsorships and connect with their audience.

“Athletes often face tough conditions during games and training, and by collaborating with Faves for our launch, I wanted to empower female athletes. [FORTA] encourages them to try the products, see how they work, and share their experiences,” Hull explained.

In her fourth season with the Fever and third playing alongside superstar Caitlin Clark, Hull led the team to the WNBA playoffs last year, falling just short of the finals when Clark was sidelined due to an injury.
