Kai Trump attended the Masters Tournament shortly after Tiger Woods’ DUI arrest made waves in the news.
His mother, Vanessa, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr., is currently in a relationship with Woods and has openly supported him following his choice to seek treatment.
Kai posted a cheerful photo on Instagram, where he was seen with LIV Golf player Bryson DeChambeau and his caddy, Greg Bodine, at Augusta National Golf Club.
“What a special place 💚,” he captioned the post, expressing excitement about attending, particularly as he is set to play college golf in Miami.
Interestingly, Donald Trump, Kai’s grandfather, is friends with DeChambeau.
It’s not clear whether Vanessa made the trip to Augusta, as Woods, who is 50, had a rollover accident in Florida on March 27 and is currently receiving treatment abroad.
A judge in Florida approved Woods’ request to leave the U.S. for treatment, away from the press and public eye.
Vanessa showed her support for Woods through an Instagram Story featuring a photo of them together, captioned “I love you.”
Just days before his DUI arrest, Woods had been discussing the possibility of returning to the Masters.
An arrest affidavit from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department indicated that Woods registered a zero on a breathalyzer test but mentioned using prescription drugs earlier in the day.
During the search, two hydrocodone pills were found in his pocket.
According to Deputy Tatiana Revenner’s statement, Woods appeared to be “sweating profusely,” and she noted his movements were “lethargic and slow,” with “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and “extremely dilated” pupils.
In the arrest video, Woods can be heard mentioning that he called President Trump before he was handcuffed.
He has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge.
Last Friday, Woods’ private jet was seen landing in Zurich, Switzerland, which is known for its exclusive treatment centers like Paracelsus Recovery and Kusnacht Practice, both noted for their privacy and high costs.
