Investigation Underway in Chicago Father’s Death
Authorities are currently searching for four individuals following the tragic bludgeoning of a Chicago father, who was pregnant with his second child, outside a bar during an early morning incident.
At around 3:20 a.m. on March 24, Alexander “Xander” Kazanowski, 25, was discovered unconscious on the pavement with severe head injuries near a bar located in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago, as reported by Cook County Crime Stoppers. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Kazanowski, a model from Illinois, was reportedly asked to leave the bar before the altercation occurred.
The Chicago police have launched a murder investigation and have released footage featuring four individuals they wish to question. The suspects consist of three African American men and one Asian woman.
Descriptions provided indicate that one man wore a black jacket, black baseball cap, and blue jeans. Another had a black jacket along with a white hoodie and black pants. The third was seen in a blue jacket, blue jeans, and a brown winter hat. The woman was noted to be wearing a black jacket and white pants.
Surveillance footage captured the four individuals entering the Tune Up bar on the night of the incident, although it remains unclear whether the video shows them before or after the attack. Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
Kazanowski, known to his family and friends as “Zander,” was a father to a daughter named Thea and was expecting a son, John. He had grown up in South Barrington, Illinois, and participated in wrestling during his school years. His obituary mentioned that he started his first business, Wurk Services, at 19 and pursued acting and modeling as well.
His family reflected on his life, stating, “Zander’s story is defined not by the years he was given, but by the vigor with which he filled those years. True to his character, his final act was the perfect expression of his generous heart. As an organ donor, he saved multiple lives and helped countless others get closer to the miracle of a second chance.”
