Billionaire Stephen Cloobeck shares details of his final conversation with troubled politician Eric Swalwell.

Stephen Krubeck, a billionaire backer of Eric Swalwell, has stated that he advised the troubled politician to “get out” during their final meeting and subsequently cut ties with him. Swalwell, a former leading candidate for California governor, recently faced a rapid political downfall. He suspended his campaign and announced his resignation from Congress after being accused of sexual assault by four women, including an ex-staffer who alleges he raped her after drinking at a charity event in April 2024.

“I will no longer associate with men who take advantage of women,” Krubeck expressed, adding his support for women’s rights.

Reports indicate that following the allegations against Swalwell, he isolated himself in Krubeck’s $26 million mansion in Beverly Hills. He even admitted to filming a video from there, vehemently denying the rape and sexual assault claims.

Krubeck described Swalwell, who has three children and married Brittney Watts in 2016, as a “gentleman” during his visits to the mansion but noted that his hospitality turned cold as pressure mounted for Swalwell to resign.

In discussing their final moments together, Krubeck mentioned that Swalwell “apologized” before the billionaire expressed his frustrations. “I was shocked and upset,” Krubeck recalled. “Let’s get out of here,” he added, summarizing the abrupt end of their association.

Additionally, Krubeck confirmed that it was Swalwell’s lawyer who initially defended him and disputed the allegations on CNN.

Krubeck clarified that he had not entered into any non-disclosure agreements on Swalwell’s behalf, despite reports that they had been crafted to silence accusers. “There were no non-disclosure agreements in place for these women from any of my organizations,” he stated.

Currently, Swalwell is facing a sexual assault investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and continues to assert he will fight against the “materially false allegations” made against him.
