Man taken into custody following attack on housekeeper during robbery at Massachusetts estate

Ex-FBI agent believes Massachusetts mansion robbery could be an inside job

Massachusetts Mansion Break-In Arrests

Two individuals, masked and armed, have been taken into custody following a brazen break-in at a luxurious waterfront mansion in Massachusetts, valued at around $20 million. Reportedly, they assaulted the housekeeper, bound her, and made off with valuables worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

A 25-year-old named Emmaje Brown faces numerous charges, including burglary, kidnapping, armed assault, and armed robbery. He was apprehended in Gloucester, where prosecutors claimed he posed a significant danger to the community, as reported by local news.

On March 28, a neighbor from Payne Street in Beverly alerted authorities about the home invasion.

During the incident, the suspects broke into the mansion, attacked the housekeeper, who was the sole occupant at the time, and forced her to help them collect valuables. They also reportedly confiscated her cell phone and discarded it into the ocean. Allegedly, they compelled her to gather bleach and stuff expensive items into trash bags.

Homeowner Thomas Swan III expressed his deep concern regarding the attack on the housekeeper, describing the horrific nature of what she endured while held at gunpoint. “She’s a really special person, and this experience has left her deeply traumatized,” he commented.

After the thieves fled, the housekeeper managed to escape and sought refuge at a neighbor’s home, ultimately receiving medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses indicated that one of the assailants had a firearm pointed at the housekeeper’s head during the ordeal. Following the robbery, the suspects stole a Porsche filled with valuables before abandoning it a few miles away near a cemetery.

Authorities tracked Brown through surveillance footage that linked him to phone records and later discovered he had allegedly met with a jeweler in New York City.

In his vehicle, authorities recovered over $300,000 and various gold items. Interestingly, Brown also had ties to another staff member from the home due to a past relationship. He has been ordered to remain in custody without bail until his next hearing on April 21.
