This week, a pest problem has led to the closure of the restaurant at San Vicente Bungalows, an exclusive club in West Hollywood.
Health officials from Los Angeles County indicated that the restaurant was shut down on Tuesday due to numerous violations linked to insects, rodents, and birds.
Located at 845 N San Vicente Blvd, the establishment also faced issues concerning the cleanliness of surfaces that come into contact with food.
There’s no word yet on when the restaurant might reopen; typically, it needs to rectify the problems and pass another inspection.
Owned by hotelier Jeffrey Klein, San Vicente Bungalows caters to a high-profile clientele, including actors like Julia Roberts and Eddie Redmayne. Notable visitors like director Steven Spielberg and Netflix executive Ted Sarandos have also frequented the venue.
Inside the club, photography is not allowed, and using cell phones can lead to consequences for members. Klein envisioned the club as a discreet haven for distinguished guests, suggesting a relaxed approach to personal relationships within its confines.
According to Klein, the atmosphere is meant to be welcoming without judgment. Members are encouraged to keep their experiences confidential, as discussing anything witnessed inside is strictly forbidden.
Prospective members must be recommended by someone who is already part of the club, although such recommendations do not guarantee acceptance.
The California Post has sought comments from the San Vicente Bungalows.
