Kimmel Suggests Protesters Use Rubber Sex Toys Against ICE
Late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel is encouraging supporters of undocumented immigrants to “fight” against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents using rubber sex toys.
This suggestion came during a monologue on his upcoming episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. He remarked, “When there are crazy events happening, it’s easy to overlook that ICE is still out there rounding up individuals and leaving others in confusion about their whereabouts.”
Kimmel referenced a protest event in Minneapolis called Operation Dildo Blitz, where activists brought an assortment of rubber sex toys. He noted, “Sometimes, you have to fight with a dildo. I guess this idea is spreading.” He added that similar events have popped up in places like Los Angeles and Portland, claiming, “It’s a harmless way to express your feelings about ICE.”
However, calling it “harmless” can be misleading. I mean, anyone struck by an object thrown at them—even one made of solid rubber—would probably disagree. Those things can be heavy enough to cause actual damage, like breaking a car window or injuring someone if they hit their face.
Even if all protesters did was sit on cars and scream, that might be mostly okay. But it’s more than that; they’ve thrown objects at ICE officers, rushed law enforcement, and even intimidated officers while they’re doing their jobs. Just last week, six protesters were arrested for throwing a sex toy at a police officer in Los Angeles. There was also an odd incident where a protester accidentally injured one of their own comrades with a rubber device in Minneapolis.
Meanwhile, Kimmel hasn’t addressed the controversies surrounding former Congressman Eric Swalwell, who is now campaigning for the California governorship. Swalwell resigned after facing accusations of inappropriate conduct from multiple women.
This week, Kimmel appeared on a podcast with former first lady Michelle Obama and her brother, where he criticized MAGA supporters, suggesting that they are not true to Christian values. He said, “The golden rule of MAGA is to never admit when you’re wrong… The core of Christianity is about seeking forgiveness, and that seems to be lost.”
