FBI Director Announces Upcoming Arrests Related to 2020 Election
In a recent announcement, FBI Director Kash Patel revealed plans to make arrests connected to the 2020 presidential election, a claim that has been a focal point for President Donald Trump since he has consistently alleged fraud in that election.
After 14 months in his role, Patel stated that arrests concerning the alleged fraud are “coming soon.” He expressed confidence, saying, “We have all the information we need.” It’s worth noting that this bold assertion comes more than a year into Patel’s directorship.
Patel shared some personal reflections during an interview, noting, “I lived through that era, and the media was coming at me, too.” He emphasized the importance of standing firm against media criticism, reminding viewers that perseverance is key. “We’re not going to accept this and we’re not going to back out of this,” he insisted.
In a surprising twist, Patel mentioned that there have already been indictments against former FBI chief Jim Comey, suggesting that the legal processes are underway. Specifically, Comey was indicted in September 2025 on charges of making false statements to Congress and obstructing proceedings, issues stemming from his testimony during a 2020 Senate hearing.
Despite Comey’s claims of innocence, which he continues to maintain, the case was dismissed by a federal judge in November 2025. However, this hasn’t deterred Patel’s resolve. “I’m never going to let this go,” he said, highlighting his ongoing commitment to investigating what he views as serious threats to the integrity of the electoral system.
Patel’s comments suggest that he feels there’s still more to come, insinuating that additional arrests may be on the horizon. “We are working with prosecutors and the Department of Justice,” he stated, promising that actions will be taken soon.
