New Addition to The Squad: Analilia Mejia

Analilia Mejia is set to join The Squad, a move fueled by ongoing media narratives. It seems that some politicians make grand promises, painting a picture of comfort and ease, and they do this by appealing to the emotions of voters. Yet, they often overlook the true causes of social issues and are suspicious of solutions that could undermine their authority.

The contemporary Democratic Party has leaned toward extreme ideologies and rhetoric that, in the end, hurt American citizens, all while masquerading as acts of compassion. Take, for instance, well-known figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib.

Politicians who thrive on deception require gatekeepers to shield the public from uncomfortable truths.

Worse still, their falsehoods are magnified by mainstream media. Information is frequently biased, leading uninformed voters to think that failing to vote “correctly” could spell the end for America.

This trend has become so pronounced that political candidates who would not have been taken seriously decades ago are now finding themselves in prominent positions. Such deceptions have propelled far-left contenders like New Jersey’s Analilia Mejia into positions of power.

Media’s Selective Focus: Iran and Its Impact

One area where media oversight is particularly troubling is its coverage of Iran. This regime, an Islamic theocracy, has made its ambitions clear. They’ve pursued nuclear capabilities, funded terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, and adopted ideologies that are overtly antagonistic to both the United States and Israel.

For years, Iran has engaged in bad-faith negotiations, enriching uranium and supporting proxies while expanding its influence in the region. Under these circumstances, military action can’t be merely a theoretical discussion. Attacks on nuclear sites, missile infrastructure, and naval forces become necessary to avert a larger catastrophe.

However, the same media that downplays Iran’s blatant hostility often frames related conflicts as American aggression or Israeli overreach. Mejia has crafted her platform around this skewed perspective, frequently voicing her pro-Palestinian stances while wearing a keffiyeh and condemning what she calls Israeli genocide.

She tends to ignore how Hamas operates as an Iranian proxy and how its actions align with Tehran’s broader campaign against both Israel and Western interests. Politicians advocating for a ceasefire that allows Iran and its proxies to regroup will not foster peace; instead, they shield the aggressors under the guise of reconciliation. Media outlets aid this narrative by glossing over Iran’s history of deception and support for terrorism with soft phrases like “regional tensions.”

The Narrative Around Voter Fraud

Similarly, media portrayals of election integrity and government fraud reveal a consistent lack of honesty. When Republican-led investigations or independent journalism uncover significant Medicare and Medicaid fraud in traditionally blue states—like California’s hospice fraud that could cost taxpayers billions—it often goes unnoticed.

The current administration’s enhanced oversight has shed light on these issues, but those same news outlets that ignore taxpayer fraud now decry stricter voter ID laws as “voter suppression.”

New Jersey has presented new evidence that fraud is a very real issue. For instance, in January 2026, two non-citizens in Bergen County were indicted for illegally voting and providing false citizenship applications, while a former mayoral candidate was charged in 2024 for attempting to submit nearly 1,000 fraudulent voter registrations.

In 2025, reports surfaced regarding homeless individuals in Atlantic County receiving fake ballot solicitations. James Devine admitted guilt in 2024 for submitting around 2,000 false signatures for a nomination petition in the 2021 primary. In 2022, Frederick Gattuso was convicted for casting two votes using similar-named registrations. These aren’t mere “myths” but documented crimes that compromise trust in the electoral system.

Censorship in the Digital Age

In Mejia’s victory speech, she labeled Elon Musk as a radical intent on destabilizing democracy. That statement reveals a lot about her stance on free speech and who controls the public discourse.

During the pandemic, tech giants aligned with Democratic interests actively suppressed dissenting voices. The Hunter Biden laptop story was dismissed as “Russian disinformation” by a group of former intelligence officials, the lab leak theory was marked as conspiracy, and vaccine skeptics faced bans from social platforms. Government pressure on social media, as uncovered in the Twitter files, revealed systematic state-sponsored censorship of conservative viewpoints.

Then comes Elon Musk, who purchased Twitter, now known as X, to reinstate free speech and dismantle collusion. Under his guidance, X emerged as the sole major platform permitting diverse opinions. Meanwhile, the media, initially complicit in the censorship, now portrays Musk’s actions to advocate free speech as a “dangerous disruption.” Mejia’s anti-mask sentiments come as no surprise. Politicians who thrive on falsehoods need gatekeepers to keep the public uninformed.

It’s crucial for voters to recognize the façade. Leaders like Analilia Mejia offer promises of an easy life, compassion for vulnerable populations, and protection from “extremists,” yet rely heavily on media narratives that distort threats, overshadow achievements, and silence dissent. They neglect the underlying issues: Iranian-sponsored Islamic terrorism, rampant fraud squandering taxpayer dollars, a politicized system targeting reformists, and the slow erosion of public discourse. Confronting these realities would only diminish their power.

Results shouldn’t be mistaken for progress. We find ourselves in a nation increasingly divided, less secure, and lacking authenticity. New Jersey’s latest lawmaker and their ideological supporters peddle misleading rhetoric cloaked in high-minded ideals. Americans who cherish security, prosperity, and liberty must reject simplistic promises and pursue more complex truths. The future of the republic hinges on this.
