Prince William and Duchess Kate Mark 15th Wedding Anniversary

Prince William and Duchess Kate celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on Wednesday by sharing a new family photo.

“Celebrating 15 years of marriage ❤️,” the Prince and Princess of Wales posted on Instagram, along with a heartwarming picture featuring Kate, Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (8).

In this outdoor shot, William, 43, is seen lounging on the grass in a polo shirt and shorts, with his two dogs beside him and his eldest son nearby.

Duchess Kate, 44, is nestled between George and Louis, holding hands with Louis, while Charlotte beams at the end of the group.

The couple tied the knot in April 2011, six years after getting engaged, at Westminster Abbey.

They first met in September 2001 while studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and their friendship deepened romantically in 2003.

Reflecting on his marriage last year, Prince William expressed a desire to avoid repeating the “mistakes” his parents, King Charles III and the late Princess Diana, made. The couple married in 1981, separated in 1992, and officially divorced a year before Diana’s tragic passing in 1997.

In a conversation, William noted how his childhood home was “warm” but only for brief moments. “I think it’s very important to create that atmosphere in the home,” he said, emphasizing the need for safety, security, and love.

He added, “I just want what’s best for my children, but I know that drama and stress in their childhood can have a huge impact on them as adults.” William and Kate welcomed their first child, George, in July 2013, followed by Charlotte and Louis in May 2015 and April 2018, respectively.
