Updates on Jaden Ivey and His Wife Kaitlyn

NBA guard Jaden Ivey and his wife Kaitlyn have publicly stated that there has been no communication from her since he was let go by the Bulls last month for behavior considered detrimental to the team.

On Monday, the couple posted a smiling photo of themselves, holding their child, along with a Bible verse on Instagram.

The caption included a quote from Proverbs 18:22 KJV: “He who finds a wife finds good and finds favor with the Lord.”

“Jesus, thank you for saving us. Thank you for your mercy and goodness toward us,” Ivey added in his message.

This announcement followed claims made by Ivey about his family after his release from prison, which occurred after he shared a video expressing his views on religion and making derogatory comments about the LGBTQ+ community.

“My wife is here and she won’t even text me,” Ivey mentioned during a livestream following his release. “The people around me, my family, are betraying me.” He expressed frustration over their reactions to what he believes is the truth.

“You betrayed me. They say I’m insane. They say I’m crazy… It’s all because of the gospel. It’s all because I told the truth,” he continued.

Kaitlyn, on her part, took to social media to clarify that she has not abandoned her husband amidst their issues. “For those who know me, I have never left a man during tough times… and I’m certainly not leaving him now,” she posted on her Instagram Story. “There’s obviously a lot going on, so please refrain from speculation.”

Kaitlyn also shared the negative messages she has received since Ivey’s claims about their relationship.

The couple, who met at Purdue University, are parents to three children: a three-year-old son named Noah, a two-year-old daughter named Shiloh, and a thirteen-month-old son named Isaiah.

Ivey’s performance last season was limited to just 30 games due to injuries, and he missed the start of the current season before being traded from Detroit to Chicago. Recently, he was suspended for the season by the Bulls due to lingering soreness in his left knee.

Previously, Ivey stated it was a “lie” that his actions had any negative impact on the Bulls.
