A man with mental illness was arrested on Wednesday after a troubling incident where he exposed himself to a father and child, and this was captured on video.
The footage, circulated on social media, depicts a white man, who remains unidentified, taking off his blue jeans and black sandals during a confrontation with the father and his child.
The event reportedly took place around 1 PM at what was initially referred to as “Valencia Railway Station,” though many commenters noted it was actually a bus stop.
A statement by an eyewitness account mentioned, “A man allegedly exposed himself to a parent and child on the platform, leading to a violent confrontation.” The altercation escalated, prompting intervention from MTA officials and bus drivers from Santa Clarita.
The report indicated that authorities were alerted, and the suspect was later arrested on charges related to lewd behavior.
The clip shows a man wearing a black T-shirt pulled up, revealing his chest, along with a black hat and pants. He was seen shouting at the father while officers attempted to manage the situation.
As more transit officials arrived to help, the man persisted in confronting the father, who seemed prepared to respond, having locked the stroller in position.
Eventually, traffic officials managed to separate the individuals before police took the man into custody.
