Texas Attorney General Targets H-1B Visa Fraud

Following some recent investigative work, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has announced an intensified crackdown on potential H-1B visa fraud affecting dozens of North Texas businesses. This move comes a few months after efforts by Sarah Gonzalez from BlazeTV highlighted the issue.

On Thursday, Paxton disclosed that he has filed civil investigative demands against around 30 companies suspected of misconduct involving H-1B visas. Among the businesses named in the investigation are Tekpro IT LLC, Fame PBX LLC, 1st Rank Technologies LLC, and several others.

The investigation is centered around allegations of these firms maintaining “ghost offices”—a tactic they reportedly use to misrepresent their operations to sponsor foreign workers.

Paxton stated, “I will not allow the H-1B program to be exploited by bad actors who seek to use it as a loophole to allow foreign nationals to enter Texas.” He emphasized his commitment to rooting out fraud within the program.

In the press release, the Attorney General’s office mentioned a request for financial statements, employee records, detailed service documentation, and any communications related to the companies’ operations.

On social media, Paxton publicly thanked Gonzalez for her role in bringing attention to the issue, praising her work in exposing H-1B fraud statewide. In return, Gonzalez expressed her gratitude for the action being taken, celebrating the announcement on her show.

It’s worth noting that Gonzalez has previously featured Qubiz Tech Systems LLC in her investigations. She also remarked on encountering other companies during her research and has shared this information with the authorities.
