Legal Ruling in Biden Laptop Dispute
The former attorney for Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has been ordered by a California Superior Court to pay $50,000 to Garrett Ziegler, a former Trump aide, to settle a dispute over the controversial “hell laptop.”
According to reports, this ruling concludes the debate regarding whether Ziegler, who posed as a Democratic strategist, attempted to gather confidential information from Kevin Morris about Hunter’s laptop back in 2022. During one of Morris’s discussions about the laptop, he realized something was off when he received an image featuring a squid alongside the phrase “Nothing is within our reach,” attributed to “Marco Polo,” indicating Ziegler’s connection to the group.
Ziegler, who worked as a Republican strategist in the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, has been at the center of this legal conflict.
In 2023, Hunter Biden initiated a civil suit against Ziegler for sharing 128,000 emails linked to his so-called “laptop from hell,” as reported by Breitbart News.
Marco Polo released an indexed document in October showcasing a “Report on the Biden Laptop.” This document included timelines, transactions, and various communications concerning the Biden family, revealing the extensive 128,000 emails found on the laptop that was left at a Delaware repair shop.
Hunter’s legal team contended that Ziegler, along with Marco Polo and others, had unlawfully accessed thousands of emails, photos, and videos from the laptop and engaged in a relentless campaign against him.
In May 2024, reports surfaced indicating that Morris, often referred to as Biden’s “sugar brother,” intended to cease funding Hunter’s legal defense. Morris was highlighted as a significant figure in the Biden family circle, having contributed to Joe Biden’s campaign and assisted Hunter in entering the art market, which has faced scrutiny for alleged corrupt practices.
Shortly after this news broke, it was revealed that email communications from an IRS whistleblower suggested the CIA had prevented the DOJ from interviewing Morris as part of the investigation into Hunter Biden. Morris had reportedly loaned Hunter $2 million to settle an IRS obligation and was said to have ties to the CIA as of August 2021. Unreleased information from IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley indicated that the DOJ was blocked from consulting Morris as a witness in the ongoing inquiry into Hunter’s matters, following directives from the CIA.
