Karl-Anthony Towns Makes Waves This Postseason

Karl-Anthony Towns has certainly had an eventful postseason.

He helped the Knicks secure a first-round series win against the Hawks, and his cameo in *The Devil Wears Prada 2* hit theaters on Friday.

In the film, Towns appears as himself at a party hosted by Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly. He gets introduced to Anne Hathaway’s character, Andy, who expresses her admiration for him and the Knicks.

“It was an honor,” Towns remarked. “Honestly, just seeing so many talented people in the acting field doing their thing at such a high level—that was truly special.”

Although he received an invite to the red carpet premiere, Towns wasn’t able to make it.

This premiere coincided with Game 2 of the series between the Knicks and Hawks. Interestingly, Hathaway, 43, is a longtime Knicks fan and often catches games at Madison Square Garden.

“I’m easygoing and loving, but I’m definitely a fan who wears my jersey,” Hathaway shared during her recent appearance on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.*

“When I’m at the game, I want the players to know that I’m with them, cheering them on. I don’t want to be that fan who’s like, ‘What are you doing?’ Instead, I try to be nurturing and supportive.”

As for the Knicks’ strategy, Coach Mike Brown has been utilizing Jalen Brunson more as a screener towards the latter part of the Hawks series. He’s mentioned that only John Stockton surpasses Brunson in that role.

“You really need a certain toughness to be a good screener,” Brown noted. “If you’re a point guard, you’re often up against someone bigger. John had that toughness, and so does Jalen. Steph Curry has it too. It’s essential, and the rest will follow.”
