Formula 1 is back after an unexpectedly extended break, and so am I, right here in the U.S.

The fifth annual Miami Grand Prix is taking place today, May 2nd, although the start has been moved up by several hours due to rain in the Miami area.

The weekend kicked off with the second sprint race of the year, where reigning World Drivers’ Champion Lando Norris snagged his first podium finish, coming in first ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Norris will be lining up in fourth position for today’s main race.

Here’s what you should know about the Miami Grand Prix:

  • When: May 3rd, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Miami International Autodrome (Miami Gardens, Florida)
  • Streaming: Apple TV

The race consists of 57 laps over a total distance of 191.5 miles on a 5.3-mile track with 19 turns.

The race is now scheduled to begin three hours earlier than initially planned, starting at 1:00 PM ET today, May 3rd.
