Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Talks About Mental Health Struggles

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, known from “Jersey Shore,” shared his mental health challenges in an Instagram Story post dated May 4. He expressed feeling uneasy about his presence on social media and mentioned grappling with “high-functioning depression,” highlighting concerns for his well-being.

In his words, “High-functioning depression means you wake up every day with a functioning face but not a functioning mind, doing everything you’re supposed to do, but feeling nothing inside.” He went on to describe a sense of being trapped in his own life, remarking that he sometimes feels a strong urge to stop, even as he keeps pressing on.

This revelation came after viewers noticed his demeanor during a recent interview. He had to withdraw from a red carpet event in late April, according to reports. Some outlets indicated he struggled to stay awake during a promotional interview for “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”

His Instagram Story also featured NBA star Kyrie Irving, who discussed mental health in light of May being recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. Meanwhile, Ortiz-Magro’s past behavior has raised eyebrows, with incidents indicating his ongoing battles, including recent domestic disputes as reported by law enforcement.
