Eli Manning makes a lighthearted comment about returning after Odell Beckham Jr's viral video

The New York Giants had a busy offseason, and fans are still dreaming about the possibility of Odell Beckham Jr. returning. Recently, a video of Beckham scoring a touchdown while still with the Giants gained a lot of traction on social media.

A user commented, “Everything about my contract with the Giants was great, but there’s still one final piece missing…”

Eli Manning, who threw that touchdown to Beckham in the viral clip, responded playfully on X, saying, “Guys, I’m not coming back to play! Stop asking questions.” Manning made his retirement official after the 2019 season, which marked the end of his 16-year career with the Giants. Unfortunately, his performance declined toward the end, as he led the team to only nine wins over his last three seasons as a starter.

Despite that decline, Beckham was a standout player during his time with Manning, catching 44 touchdown passes from him—more than any other player throughout Manning’s career.

During his five seasons in New York, Beckham impressed many by playing 59 games and making 390 receptions for a total of 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. However, his trade to the Cleveland Browns surprised everyone and came with its own set of challenges; he struggled to regain his previous form, and the tenure lasted just two and a half seasons before his release.

Recently, the Giants extended an invitation to Beckham for a workout. Last season, he played for the Baltimore Ravens, where he caught 34 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns. Ravens coach John Harbaugh has praised Beckham, calling him one of his favorite people. Harbaugh mentioned their ongoing communication, saying, “He and I talk, we text. We’ve had a really great relationship.”

As for Beckham’s future with the Giants, it remains uncertain. Whatever transpires, it looks like Manning will be staying retired for good.
