A woman from California, who led a double life as an OnlyFans model and an escort, admitted guilt to manslaughter on Wednesday after a tragic incident where a client died following their encounter.
Michaela Reilersdam, age 32, faces a four-year prison sentence next month related to the case of Michael Dale, who was 55 years old at the time of his death.
The incident occurred at Dale’s home in Escondido, located in San Diego County. Reports indicate that Reilersdam had been part of this line of work for approximately ten years and operated mainly out of Menifee in Riverside County.
Prosecutors noted that Dale suffered during an audio recording, where duct tape was placed over his mouth, and a plastic bag was wrapped around his head. With his hands and feet restrained, Dale couldn’t remove the items.
He remained incapacitated for about eight minutes before being declared brain dead the following day. Reilersdam claimed her husband was aware of her activities on OnlyFans and assisted with the site, yet he called 911 right after the incident unfolded.
On her site, Secret Hostess, she revealed that she is married to Brandon Reilersdam and they have three sons. Under the alias “Ashley Shinkar,” she shared photos and expressed pride in her dual life, humorously remarking that the ‘H’ in her name is silent.
Reports indicate that Dale had paid Reilersdam $11,000 for their encounter.
She described herself as a “high class” escort with a decade of experience. Her Secret Hostess page touted her versatility in the industry and claimed to deliver “euphoric and provocative performances.”
The site featured various offerings, including a top-tier “Ultimate Incall” service priced at $1,500, with other options like “Toy Show” for $200 and “Wild Incall” listed at $1,100. Interestingly, outcall services were priced about $300 less than their incall counterparts.
She also offered online sessions via FaceTime or Zoom for $150, with a $25 non-refundable deposit required upfront.
Payment could be made through multiple platforms like Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal. A screenshot of her now-deleted page previously circulated.
Reilersdam reportedly excelled in incorporating acrobatics into her performances, claiming that her professionalism was unmatched within the industry.
Her defense lawyer, Dan Cohen, mentioned that there was no intention to harm Dale and pointed out that consent might not absolve her legally but is a significant factor. “I think it’s important to note that there was no malicious intent here, and the response thereafter demonstrated her concern,” he commented. “He actively sought out this experience, which adds a layer of complexity to the situation.”
