Trump Administration Celebrates Mother’s Day

The Trump administration extended Mother’s Day wishes to mothers nationwide through a video featuring Cabinet members and their families sharing their personal experiences.

On Sunday, the White House shared a video on X that included officials, with First Lady Usha Vance among them, discussing motherhood.

“🤍 Happy Mother’s Day from the Trump administration! To all the moms who are shaping America’s future, thank you,” the video expressed, showcasing heartfelt stories from various families.

Rachel Campos-Duffy, wife of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, remarked, “We knew this was going to be the most family-friendly administration in American history.” She highlighted that about 70 children are linked to the 15 ministers, including her own nine.

“There’s a lot of family in this cabinet,” she commented. “This is a Cabinet and a president who cares about the future and values the nuclear family.”

Farrah Sonderling, spouse of Acting Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling, emphasized the positive impacts of President Trump’s initiatives, mentioning her mother specifically.

“I think President Trump is the greatest president ever for mothers, not just because of his policies, but also because of the tax cuts for working families,” she stated.

Another woman in the video reflected on motherhood as life’s “greatest privilege,” sharing the joy of watching her kids grow. Usha Vance and Vice President J.D. Vance, parents of three, are expecting their fourth child in July.

Numerous officials on social media recognized the significance of the day, including First Lady Melania Trump.

“At the heart of America’s strength lies the boundless love and quiet strength of our mothers,” her office highlighted.

“Today, we celebrate the mothers whose unwavering love, sacrifice, and strength have shaped the heart and soul of this nation,” the White House post acknowledged.

However, for many mothers, this day isn’t solely about celebration. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) honored ‘angel moms’—those who have lost children to crimes by illegal immigrants.

“This Mother’s Day, we especially honor angel moms,” a message read. “Words cannot express the sadness of losing a child. Knowing their child’s death was completely preventable only adds to the pain these brave women face every day.”

Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins also recognized military mothers and those who raised service members.

“This Mother’s Day, we celebrate all the mothers in uniform and those who raised the men and women who protect this country… Happy Mother’s Day,” he concluded.

On Friday, President Trump hosted a Mother’s Day luncheon in the White House Rose Garden for angel moms and those who lost children in military service.

“Today, we are honored to join so many strong and truly heroic mothers who have stood up for their children, both in life and in the face of great loss,” the president expressed.
