Jonathan ‘Foodgod’ Cheban criticizes LA, claims Spencer Pratt is the city’s best hope.

Reality TV figure Spencer Pratt is creating a buzz again. This time, celebrity Foodgod, who has a massive following, declared he’d return to Los Angeles if Pratt wins the mayoral race.

“If Spencer Pratt wins, I’m going back to L.A.,” Foodgod stated in a video that went viral after being shared from Adam’s Apple X account.

With over 8 million followers on TikTok, Foodgod described the city as struggling and hailed Pratt as the sole candidate capable of rejuvenating “old Los Angeles.”

“L.A. needs fresh energy. We need to bring back the old L.A. because it has life,” Foodgod expressed. “Honestly, if Spencer doesn’t win, it might be the end for L.A., and I may never return.”

This comment struck a chord online, adding to the growing moments that are energizing Pratt’s unusual mayoral campaign.

The food enthusiast, Jonathan Cheban by name, gained prominence through his close associations with the Kardashian clan, cultivating a following around upscale food, celebrity, and nightlife.

Yet, in this interview, he shifted to political commentary, criticizing New York as “on fire” and asserting that Los Angeles has lost the spark it once had that attracted people from all over.

“I believe he’s going to fight to bring that back,” Foodgod said of Pratt. “This is LA’s only chance.”

This discussion also highlighted the broader theme that Pratt aims to address in his campaign: the perception that Los Angeles is becoming less appealing and more chaotic under the current administration.

As Pratt continues to capture considerable online attention amid the race, this clip appeared at a pivotal time. He has no formal political experience but has been making waves with his debate performances and commentary on homelessness, often overshadowing more traditional candidates.

“I heard he really nailed it in the debate tonight,” Foodgod remarked before concluding the interview.
