California OnlyFans Creator Pleads Guilty in Fatal BDSM Case
A California OnlyFans creator has entered a guilty plea for manslaughter in a shocking BDSM-related incident that left the Escondido community in disbelief. Michaela Lylarsdam, 32, accepted a plea deal after being accused of filming fetish content while her client, 56-year-old Michael Dale, suffocated during a session in April 2023.
The plea agreement downgraded the charge from murder to manslaughter, suggesting that while Lylarsdam acted with recklessness, prosecutors determined she did not intend to kill, as indicated by the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.
She could face up to four years in prison when she is sentenced on June 8. Since her arrest in February 2025, she has been held in the Las Colinas Detention Center without bail.
Reports suggest that Dale had initially reached out to Lylarsdam between March and April 2023 via Eros.com, a site often linked to escort services. Over several weeks, he allegedly paid her more than $11,000 for various fetish-related activities, including direct bondage interactions.
According to court documents, Dale’s requests grew increasingly bizarre and extreme. Some included being wrapped in plastic wrap “like a mummy,” having boots attached to him, and even pouring gorilla glue into his eyes while a dildo was in his mouth.
Lylarsdam later recounted that the encounter on April 17, 2023, was her first experience in such a fetish act. She arrived at Dale’s home around 6 p.m. and noted he appeared intoxicated, yet she proceeded with the BDSM activities.
Tragically, a few hours later, the situation escalated to a fatal outcome. Around 10:10 p.m., Lylarsdam called 911 after noticing Dale’s face turning blue. When officers arrived, they found her attempting CPR while on the phone with dispatchers. A roommate present reportedly described her demeanor during the emergency as “very freaked out.”
Despite being rushed to Palomar Hospital, Dale was declared brain dead the following day and subsequently removed from life support. The San Diego County Coroner’s Office classified his death as a homicide, attributing it to asphyxiation caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain.
Detectives discovered videos on Lylarsdam’s phone that depicted Dale being restrained with duct tape and plastic wrap, obstructing his ability to breathe. One particularly harrowing video showed him with a plastic bag over his head, while another captured him performing a sexual act beside her while filming for her OnlyFans account.
Lylarsdam has denied responsibility for placing the bag over Dale’s head. This incident has raised significant concerns and sparked discussions about the potential dangers associated with online fetish content and subscription-based adult entertainment platforms.
