CIA Whistleblower Alleges Cover-Up on COVID-19 Origins

James Erdman III, a former CIA officer, testified before the U.S. Senate Homeland Security Committee, claiming there’s a federal cover-up surrounding the origins of the coronavirus. His history of conflict with government policies regarding COVID-19 is notable.

Erdman, a military veteran, co-founded the advocacy group Feds for Freedom, created during the push against mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for federal workers and military personnel. Information about his early life is scarce, but the group states that he served as a noncommissioned officer with the Army’s 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and later in the National Guard. Additionally, he has experience as a senior consultant in bioinformatics and biometrics, notably working in various regions including the Middle East and Europe.

Having joined the CIA in 2013, Erdman was highlighted by Sen. Rand Paul, the Republican committee chairman, as a decorated officer with numerous years in intelligence and national security. He recently completed a position with the Director’s Initiative Group in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Feds For Freedom has been at the forefront of legal and public advocacy, especially concerning federal employees resisting vaccination mandates from the Biden administration. Erdman has actively participated in these efforts.

In an interview tied to Feds for Freedom,

During his testimony, Erdman asserted that intelligence agencies, particularly the CIA, lack transparency and accountability, cautioning that this could mislead Congress. He emphasized the need for a major revision of federally funded life sciences projects, calling for clearer definitions and stricter oversight related to “gain-of-function” research.

“If the American public had known that a virus from a Chinese lab was involved, public health policy might have changed significantly,” Erdman remarked, specifically criticizing Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former leader of the White House coronavirus task force.
