Former BLM activist harshly criticizes 'fraudulent' organization, claims systemic racism in the US does not exist

Former Activist Critiques Social Justice Movements

A former Black Lives Matter activist, now a conservative influencer, has labeled social justice organizations as “fraudulent” and has stated that the Democratic Party embodies “racism and violence.”

Xavier Dursault, 29, shared his realization during the George Floyd protests in 2020, noting that he saw the movement as a profit-driven initiative and felt he had been misled. His liberal upbringing, he said, unexpectedly shifted his perspective.

“When I started looking into conservative views, it hit me that socialism has never worked. BLM has been a scam all along, and the Democratic Party has consistently represented racism and violence,” Dursault expressed on a podcast hosted by former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines.

Reflecting on his past, he admitted to being influenced by the ideology taught to him as a child.

Dursault, who once voted for Bernie Sanders and helped organize BLM rallies, noted the shift that occurred after George Floyd’s death, when protests surged across the nation.

“After Floyd’s passing, it became apparent that many were exploiting this movement, and it was disheartening to see how performative it was,” Gaines remarked.

“It was like encountering instances where white Antifa activists were stealing in the name of reparative justice. So many layers of contradiction made it confusing for me,” Dursault elaborated.

He expressed particular anger at the growing anti-police sentiment, especially since he has friends and family in law enforcement.

“I found it odd that so many were vilifying individual police officers,” he stated.

Dursault’s experiences with racism while growing up in a small town in Illinois contributed to his initial worldview, leading him to assume that it was reflective of the broader national experience.

Since then, he has come to believe that systemic racism isn’t a reality and that the average American stands against racism.

“As I’ve matured, I’ve recognized a distinction between personal racism and larger systemic issues that actually require attention,” he noted. “Looking back, I know that while racists exist, the majority of people in this country are firmly opposed to racism. To think systemic racism is a reality here now seems misplaced,” he concluded.
