Olivia “Libby” Dunn shared that her boyfriend, Paul Skeens, has had nothing but encouraging responses to her involvement with Sports Illustrated Swimsuits.
Dunn made her debut in SI Swimsuit in 2023 and even graced the cover the previous year. Skeens, a standout pitcher for the Pirates, is reportedly very supportive of her work, as she mentioned recently.
She recounted a text exchange: “I texted him, saying, ‘Hey, there’s a photo of me in SI.’ He replied, ‘Where can I see it?'” She remembered sending him the link and laughing about it, saying, “It’s like you don’t know.”
Dunn mentioned, “I told him, ‘Just watch everything.'” And, well, he really enjoyed it. “Yeah, he loved it. He always does,” she said with a smile.
“They asked me back, which is such an honor,” she noted. “I feel like every year gets better, and there’s a new group of girls each time.”
“This group is amazing, so I’m really honored,” she added.
At 23, Dunn and Skeens have been dating since 2023 when they were both attending LSU, revealing their relationship shortly after Skeens was drafted by the Pirates.
In January, Skeens told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that managing their schedules could be challenging. “I think Liv is probably tired of traveling with me,” he admitted. He noted how his training routines often kept them apart, saying he spends much of the morning training, which cuts their time together short.
“We don’t have mornings together,” Skeens explained. “But it’s like… please, let’s not let morning come.”
In February, Dunn mentioned to People that they navigate their long-distance relationship by striving to be the best for each other when they’re together.
“Honestly, I don’t think there are any strict rules for us,” she said. “It’s really about being our best selves for each other while spending time together.”
She added, “He makes time for my events, and I try to be there for his starts whenever I can.”
