LeBron James has always made his family a top priority. After wrapping up his 23rd NBA season, he’s now weighing the idea of retirement, though he remarked, “Obviously, I don’t know what my future holds.”
Following the Lakers’ elimination from the 2026 NBA Playoffs, when asked about his decision for next season, James was transparent. He mentioned, “I’m going to talk to my 12-year-old daughter and my 19-year-old son, Bryce. We’ve been in Arizona for two years now, and my wife is also involved. They play a significant role in my decisions.”
This offseason has highlighted his commitment to family life. In a rare glimpse into his personal life, he shared a video on Instagram featuring him and his sons, Bronny and Bryce, enjoying time at home with the caption, “We got the band back together.”
Last season, James set records with the Lakers, helping them reach the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs. He participated in 60 games, averaging 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game. Notably, his postseason statistics were even better, with averages of 23.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.7 rebounds.
Bronny, now in his second year in the league, played in 47 games and posted averages of 2.9 points and 1.2 assists. It seems he has proven he can hold his own and may take on a larger role next season. Meanwhile, Bryce is completing his redshirt freshman season at the University of Arizona.
