Nashville to Host Super Bowl in 2030

Nashville, known as Music City, is set to stage the Super Bowl in February 2030. This decision came during the NFL’s Spring League Meeting in Orlando, where the proposal was favorably reviewed and voted on by owners.

The owners unanimously approved the plan, voting 32-0, marking a significant milestone for Nashville.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed excitement, reminiscing about the successful 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, stating, “Super Bowl XIV in the new stadium is the next step in this incredible football journey.” He credited Amy Adams Strunk and the Tennessee Titans for their vision and partnership that made this event possible.

This is kind of a big deal for Nashville sports, reminiscent of the Music City Miracle back in 2000—an event that followed the Houston Oilers moving to Nashville in 1997. The city has transformed quite a bit since then.

The Tennessee Titans are currently constructing a new stadium, estimated to cost about $2.1 billion, expected to be ready for the 2027 season. This new venue is set to host Super Bowl IV, which will conclude the 2029 season.

During a ceremony at the new stadium last November, Goodell praised the facilities and hinted at the potential for a Super Bowl in Nashville, and now it’s officially on the calendar.

Deanna Ivey, president and CEO of Nashville Convention and Visitors, Inc., stated that hosting the Super Bowl will define Nashville and Tennessee, emphasizing their commitment to establishing the city as a global hub for music and entertainment.

Ivey further noted that this event offers a chance to showcase Nashville’s unique character to a worldwide audience, blending music, sports, and hospitality in an unparalleled way.

Looking ahead, Super Bowl XI is set for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in California, while Super Bowl XII will take place on February 13, 2028, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Additionally, Las Vegas is scheduled to host Super Bowl VIII in February 2029, with the exact date still to be determined.

On the same day, NFL owners also approved the 2028 NFL Draft to be held in Minneapolis, which will host various events throughout the Twin Cities.
