Democrat Favorite Aligns with Anti-White Lawmaker in Crucial Texas Senate Race

Texas Senate Candidate’s Controversial Campaign Alliance

James Talarico, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, is attempting to connect with Texas voters by teaming up with congresswoman Gene Woo, who has made headlines for her provocative remarks about minorities “taking over” the country.

During a campaign event in Houston, Talarico remarked that “Asian Americans need someone to fight for the Senate,” standing alongside Woo. She has called on Democratic senators to embrace their ethnic backgrounds, yet her comments seem to suggest a disregard for white Americans.

Republican National Committee spokesperson Zach Kraft expressed his disapproval, stating, “Gene Woo and James Talarico are peas in a pod, bashing white people to fuel woke politics. This blatant racism is offensive, and Talarico should apologize for undermining hardworking Texans.”

In a podcast episode titled “Defining an American with Jose Antonio Vargas,” Woo described white individuals as central to the issue of “oppression” in America, arguing that non-white individuals should replace those she calls “oppressors.”

She elaborated, “It’s not just Latinos. It’s not just Asians. It’s not just African Americans. It’s everyone. Our nation has historically divided these groups to prevent unity, while they share a common oppressor.”

According to Woo, recognizing this shared oppression is crucial for progress. “The moment we understand that Latinos, African Americans, Asians, and other communities have the same oppressors is when we start to truly succeed. We are the majority now; we can make things fair for everyone.”

Talarico has a history of controversial remarks about race. For instance, in a 2020 post, he stated that “white skin gives me and all white Americans immunity to the virus,” linking racism to white identity. He also suggested that “radicalized white men are our nation’s greatest domestic terrorist threat” and mentioned being “thankfully” exposed to diversity in his early years, which shaped his views on equality and justice.

As of now, Talarico’s campaign has yet to respond to inquiries for comment.
