Tulsi Gabbard Resigns as Director of National Intelligence

Tulsi Gabbard announced her resignation from her position in the Trump administration on Friday. In her post, she stated that she is stepping down to support her husband, who is receiving treatment for an extremely rare form of bone cancer.

In a message shared on social media, Gabbard expressed gratitude to President Trump for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) for the past year and a half. She mentioned that her last day in the role will be June 30, 2026, and emphasized her concern for her husband, Abraham, who was recently diagnosed with this unusual illness.

Gabbard stated, “I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the opportunity you have given me to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence over the past year and a half,” in her formal resignation letter. She also noted that facing significant challenges ahead means she must step back from her official duties to fully support her husband through this difficult time.

During a meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, Gabbard officially notified President Trump of her resignation plans. The Daily Caller reached out to the ODNI for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication.

This is a developing story, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
