Anna Delvey’s Deportation Process Underway

It seems that Anna Delvey, the infamous fake heiress, may be on her way back to Germany. Federal authorities recently indicated they’re proceeding with her deportation, which puts an end to her time spent under an ankle monitor in the U.S.

A representative from the Department of Homeland Security remarked, “For years, she has mocked the U.S. court system and immigration laws. She was given an ankle monitor while her appeal was ongoing.” They added, “We look forward to bringing her home soon.”

Delvey, if you recall, is actually named Anna Sorokin. She arrived in the United States on a tourist visa back in 2017, but her visa expired, putting her in the category of “criminal illegal alien.”

Just last week, she made quite a scene by showing off how to wear tights under the ankle monitor required by ICE, while maintaining an eye-catching appearance.

In 2019, the 35-year-old was convicted in Manhattan of various theft-related charges after posing as a wealthy European heiress to gain access to high society. The infamous “Soho scammer” skipped paying an $11,518 bill at the Beekman Hotel and further racked up debts at the W New York Hotel. A $62,000 bill from a luxury villa in Marrakech also got her into trouble.

There were even reports of her walking out on a $20,000 charge at Richard Branson’s five-star resort while also refusing to pay $35,000 for a private jet ride to a Berkshire Hathaway event.

Delvey received a sentence ranging from four to twelve years but was released in February 2021. Shortly after her release, she was apprehended by ICE for visa issues and remained in custody until October 2022. Following that, she was placed under electronic monitoring.

As of now, her attorney hasn’t provided any comments about the situation.
